Software as a Service (SaaS) Practice

Software as a service (SaaS) is a concept and paradigm puts business services, applications and storage on the internet.  This approach to delivering business software has evolved from the early 2000’s from the Application Service Provider model that provided turnkey application delivery.  However,  the SaaS model  takes several steps further by providing a multi-tenant architecture, uses web technologies and not only provides applications but business services.  These candeliver explicit business solutions that can be embedded into any organization’s infrastructure (see Wikipedia Software-as-a-Service entry for a definition http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_as_a_service).
